Seeker Sketchings

These marked the beginning of the chain of ideas. The idea originated around the motive of a new quest guard that has a passive skill that cancels both imprints and empowerments. The design of that would disable players from using the recent empowerment COUNTER to easily run over any new quests.

To add more interest into the idea, I then moved to creating a guard for the skill. While brainstorming on how the guard should look like, I came across the idea of a "seeker." The skill matches the style of the players who worked to level before the updates of empowerments and imprints. Most of those players seek a way to solve that problem. The passive skill SEEKER'S REVENGE then was born.

Then I decided to use another idea I've been wanting to use for awhile, and that was the idea of an elemental series. From then, I ended up creating seven Seekers; four of the key elements such as fire, water, earth. and air. The other three were light, dark, and the new edition to Pocket Summoner at the time; elemental.

Moving on from there, I decided to tie the Seekers to one another. As a result, the second passive skill emerged. DOUBLE TEAM is a skill that allows the Seeker to use an extra attack every TURN (meaning if the Seeker hits three times, it will use the extra hit once at the end rather than three times with one after each regular attack. This is to prevent the skill from becoming overpowered, because it is much stronger than WINDCHASER's Helper passive skill, which deals a 100 Power NORMAL attack after each attack rather than each turn).

The attack is based on what element the other Seeker in the formation is. It will then use their 170 Power skill (If Flame and Sky Seeker was in a formation, Flame Seeker would use HURRICANE every turn and Sky Seeker would use HELLFIRE every turn).

As for the stats, I wanted to make these Seekers worth getting. Each of them has a special advantage. The seekers also get stronger as this list on the left advances. Flame, Earth, Storm, and Sky Seeker have a total of 380 base stat and 50% bonuses. Darkness and Nirvana Seeker have a total of 450 base stat and 60% bonuses. Finally, Trinity Seeker has a stunning 500 base stat and 75% bonuses. For comparison, Alpha from Clan Shop 27 has a total of 383 base stat and 65% bonuses. It is the current guard in the game with the most stats.

As for their skills, they all have a 170 Power skill that is unique to the Seeker. The other Seeker's do not have the skill.

Though they may seem overpowered, there is one thing about them. You have to beat them, sometimes multiple times, before you can summon them. Since they have such high stats and great skills, it will be hard to achieve them. Also, below I have written some notes about balancing the Seekers while I was creating them...

FLAME SEEKER:

This Seeker is a Heavy Class. It has a majority of its base stats into MATK, and has a base attack of 110 Power along with two 150 Power special skills. The Seeker is slow however, with it's 27 SPD.

EARTH SEEKER:

This Seeker is a Tank Class. It has well built DEF and MDEF. Having that, though, means he will not hit as hard. He has base 100 Power and special 170 Power NORMAL attacks. Along with that, he also has base 110 Power and special 150 Power EARTH attacks. The strategy behind this is that if the player stats Earth Seeker with ATK, he will have a weaker base skill but a stonger special skill. If the player stats Earth Seeker with MATK, he will have a stronger base skill but weaker special skill.

STORM SEEKER:

This Seeker is a Mage Class. However, it has a majority of its base stats into MATK and also MDEF, rather than MATK and INT. She lacks DEF. The price for the variety of her attacks results in her skills being weaker than FLAME SEEKER.

SKY SEEKER:

This Seeker is mostly a Light Class. It is very fast, and also hits hard, since it has a good amount of points into MATK. Her defense is not very strong however. One thing to note about this seeker is that it has a special 110 Power LIGHT skill. The reason why it is not a base skill and why the power is low is to prevent another ST.SKIINAA.

DARKNESS SEEKER:

This Seeker is another Mage Class. However, he is much stronger, having both great MATK and MDEF. He has stronger special skills, and more overall stats. Of course, he is a DARK guard though.

NIRVANA SEEKER:

This Seeker is a Mage Class as well. Unlike Darkness Seeker, he has more DEF rather than SPD. This may be considered one of the OP Seekers since PIERCE Imprint does not work on him.

TRINITY SEEKER:

This Seeker is a HYBRID Class. Great stats in both ATK and MATK, along with good stats in DEF and MDEF. She also features a wide variety of attack skills. In turn for her super power, she has very little SPD. There can also be trouble with getting her to use the right attack during fights, because she has high stats on both offenses. She may use ATK when you want MATK and vise versa.

To limit the power of a player's team, the last three seekers; Darkness, Nirvana, and Trinity, should be UNIQUE.
